One ring is built from repeated bays, the other from a single unbroken curve. His is a wide band segmented like a ladder, with each of its bars pave-set; hers is a slim shank that curves up to a raised solitaire. Both stones came from one rough. One ring counts its way along the finger, while the other runs on without stopping.
